Why Choose Granite & Quartz

Why Choose Quartz Worktops?

Quartz is one of the most popular materials for kitchen worktops due to its durability and aesthetic appeal. It is a man-made stone composed of quartz particles and resin, which makes it more resistant to scratches, stains, and impact than natural stone. Quartz worktops are also non-porous, which means they don’t absorb liquids, making them hygienic and easy to clean.

At our company, we offer a wide range of quartz worktops in various colors, patterns, and finishes. Whether you’re looking for a classic white or black worktop, or a more unique color like blue or green, we’ve got you covered. Our team of experts will guide you through the process of selecting the right worktop to complement your kitchen design.

Granite and Quartz worktops have rapidly become one of the most desired additions to the modern home, available in different colours with depth in textures and patterns; they offer functionality, durability, reliability and the all important wow factor as well as a lifetimes worth of service.

The intricate detail and history of Granite, alongside the immaculate, pristine finishes achievable through our manufacturing and polishing process make Granite and Quartz worktops the stand out choice over laminate and wooden worktop.

Granite unlike Quartz can be used in many different ways especially outdoors where it is open to the elements like BBQ areas, firepits, shop fronts and outdoor bar areas.

Quartz is a man made product and is non-porous low maintenance as well as moderate resistance to heat.

Quartz comes in a wide range of colours and styles.

Also Quartz can be used in different ways, kitchens, bathroom vanities, shower trays, splash walls, fireplace surrounds, hearths and tables, if it can be made it quartz we can do it.

Granite and quartz are waterproof which means that water vapour and splashes of water from the shower, bath or sink are not able to penetrate through the surface of the Granite countertop. It may seem obvious, but choosing a material which can’t absorb water is the most effortless way of keeping your bathroom countertop hygienically clean and fresh as well as preventing more extensive damage to your home.

After Care For Granite & Quartz Worktops

ENGINEERED STONE WORKTOPSARE VERY EASY TO MAINTAIN AND WITH SIMPLE CARE, WILL RETIAN ITS BEAUTY FOR MANY YEARS.  For Cleaning granite worktops, use a damp cloth or paper towel and, if necessary, a small amount of mild soap. Once clean, rinse and dry surface thoroughly. Specialised products can be used to further assist with routine care and maintenance. Please consult your fabricator / supplier for further information.

REMOVING DIFFICULT SPILLS

Even though quartz and granite worktops resist permanent staining when exposed to liquids (such as wine, vinegar, tea, lemon juice and soda) or fruits and vegetables, wipe up spills as soon as possible.

For stubborn or dried spills, use a non-abrasive cleaning pad with as small amount of mild soap or specialized stone cleaner.

For Honed surfaces a specialised product can also be used in conjunction with non-abrasive cleaning pad.

PREVENTING HEAT AND OTHER DAMAGE

Although granite and quartz worktops are heat resistant, they are not heat proof, it is and can still be subject to potential damage when exposed to sudden and extreme temperature changes e.g., hot pans. For this reason, we recommend the use of pan stands whenever possible.

Quartz and granite are also scratch resistant, but not scratch proof. Therefore, when using a knife, a chopping board is always recommended.

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS

Avoid exposing any quartz or granite surfaces to chemicals and solvents, especially paint removers or furniture strippers containing trichloroethane or methylene chloride. Keep nail polish remover, bleach or cleansers that contain bleach, Cillit bang, bluing, permanent markers or inks, and oil soaps away from your quartz or granite surfaces. While casual exposure to alkaline materials will not damage the surface, highly alkaline (high – pH) cleansers are not recommended when cleaning.

If any of the substances listed above come into contact with your quartz or granite surfaces, rinse the exposed surface immediately and thoroughly with water.
